Tuberose cutting hydroponic method

Tuberose cutting hydroponic method

1. Hydroponics is not feasible

Tuberose is cultivated through cuttings, but hydroponics is not feasible and there is no complete data record. It is difficult to take root in water. If it is inserted in water for a period of time, the bottom will rot and it is difficult to maintain. It is recommended not to transplant it into water. In addition, hydroponics are usually placed indoors. The fragrance of tuberose is strong, and smelling it for a long time indoors will cause harm to the body. It can be propagated through sandy soil cuttings, the survival rate can be guaranteed, and the rooting speed is relatively fast. After rooting, it can be transplanted into the soil, and the later growth can be guaranteed.

2. Cutting method

1. Pruning: Choose plants with good growth conditions, cut branches from them, and make the cuttings about 8-12 cm long. Keep the cut smooth and neat, and remove the leaves below.

2. Substrate: The substrate for cuttings should be prepared reasonably. It can be mixed with peat soil, leaf mold, and sand to ensure good air permeability and drainage. Appropriate watering should be used to maintain humidity.

3. Cutting: Before cutting, dip the bottom of the branch in a little rooting agent to ensure the survival rate. Then insert the branches into the plant at a depth of about 3 cm. Keep the temperature at around 20-24 degrees Celsius and the plant will be able to survive after a while.
