How much water should be put in hydroponic hyacinth

1. How much water should be added

1. Before rooting: When hydroponically cultivating hyacinth, the amount of water you put in determines the height of the water level and will also affect the growth of the bulb. Before roots take shape, the bottom of the bulb is just touching the water, the bottom of the bulb is submerged, and the bottom of the bulb is not touching the water. These three methods can be adopted and will all lead to rooting. However, if the first and second methods are adopted, the bulbs can touch the water surface, which will easily cause mold, resulting in the bulbs rotting and not taking root. Therefore, it is recommended to add an appropriate amount of water during hydroponics and keep the roots a few millimeters away from the water surface. If the roots are not exposed to water before they take root, although there will be humidity, which can promote rooting, the speed will be slower than other methods.

2. After rooting: After the hyacinth has taken root, in order to grow better in the future, the water level needs to be lowered so that the bottom of the bulb is 1-2 cm away from the water surface. Leaving this distance allows better ventilation, the roots can also come into contact with the air, and it is not easy to rot.

2. Precautions

During the rooting process of hyacinth, in order to make the roots grow faster, you can use shading treatment, so that the roots that grow later will be whiter.
