How to plant lettuce and when to cook it

How to plant lettuce and when to cook it

1. Planting time

Growing lettuce is actually very easy and can be done in both spring and fall. Generally speaking, spring is around March or April, and it can be harvested after one month of growth. Autumn planting is usually in August and September, and it can be eaten around October.

2. Planting Method

1. Land preparation: The land for growing lettuce should be fertile. It likes acidity, so the pH value of the soil is best between 5 and 7. It is also necessary to add enough base fertilizer to the soil, and you can add farmyard manure.

2. Seeds: Select seeds before starting planting. Try not to use old seeds to avoid affecting the germination rate. When planting, soak the seeds for about 6 hours, then place them in a wet cloth, adjust the temperature to 17℃, and they can be planted in about 3 days.

3. Planting: Mix the seeds and fine sand together, then sow them into the soil. After planting, cover the seeds with 0.3-0.5 cm of soil. After covering the soil, it is also necessary to cover it with ground film. It is best to adjust the temperature at 18℃-20℃. The temperature at night should not be too low, and it is most suitable between 12℃-14℃.

4. Management: After planting, pay attention to ventilation, the climate should not be too hot, and also pay attention to shading the seeds. When the seedlings grow 2-3 leaves, thinning should be carried out in time, otherwise they will grow weak.

3. How to make delicious stir-fry

In fact, there are many ways to stir-fry lettuce. The simplest way is to wash it first and drain the water. Heat oil in a pan, then add chili, ginger and onion, then add lettuce, add salt and MSG according to your taste, and wait for it to be stir-fried evenly before eating.
