1. Time

It is necessary to choose a more suitable time to plant crabapples, when the temperature is suitable and the ventilation is good, so that its seeds will germinate more easily. Spring and autumn are the most suitable seasons of the year. Spring can be done around April and May, and autumn can be done in August and September. But the climate in each region is different. Planting can be done earlier in the south, and a little later in the north is also fine.

2. Methods

1. Select seeds: The first step in planting is to select seeds. The seeds used must not be old seeds. The fresher the seeds, the easier they are to germinate and the better their growth condition will be.

2. Choose soil: The prepared soil should have good air permeability, otherwise it will hinder seed germination. Garden soil and leaf mold can be mixed and used, and there should be no large lumps of soil.

3. Wake up the seeds: Put the seeds in water to wake them up, and filter out some rotten seeds and empty shells. Take out the seeds and put them in wet gauze, change the water every day, and wait until the seeds turn white before planting.

4. Start sowing: When planting, the white part should be facing upwards. After planting the seeds in the soil, cover them with a layer of soil. The soil should not be too thick, about 1cm is enough.
