How to make Buddha's hand potted plants bear fruit

How to make Buddha's hand potted plants bear fruit

1. Acidic loam

The choice of soil is of great significance to the result. It likes a low pH value, which can promote its growth. The pH value can be maintained at 5.3. Humus soil, river sand and peat soil can be mixed in a ratio of 6:3:1. This can provide a comfortable environment for plant growth and is conducive to later fruiting.

2. Nutrient Supplementation

If you want the plant to bear fruit, it is very important to supplement nutrients. Regular supplementation promotes plant growth. During normal maintenance, apply thin fertilizer water every ten days or half a month. In order to promote its nutritional growth, you can apply enough nutrients as base fertilizer when repotting, such as a little cake fertilizer or bone meal. Apply organic fertilizer before and after flowering to ensure the number of flowers.

3. Ensure moisture

The roots should be watered regularly, and you can apply water when the surface is completely dry. However, be careful not to use too much water, otherwise the roots will easily rot. Humidity must also be ensured. In the dry season, spray the leaves with water 1-2 times a day.

4. Pay attention to pruning

Regular pruning and shaping can reduce nutrient consumption and concentrate nutrients on fruiting. Cut the main trunk to 15 cm, leaving 3-5 axillary buds below, and the rest can be removed.
