The petals of the Hyacinthus sinensis are slender and widely spaced. When in bloom, the front ends of the petals turn slightly downwards. The biggest difference between the water banana and the Crinum juncea is that the water banana's flowers have umbrella-shaped corollas, which is a clear difference.

In addition to the difference in flower shape, the number of flowers is also different. There are usually 10-24 flowers on each inflorescence of Crinum japonicum, while the inflorescence of Glechoma longituba usually has 3 to 8 flowers grown on the top of the flower stalk. If you observe carefully, the two are not difficult to distinguish within 10 flowers.
