1. Seed propagationIt is relatively simple to propagate using seeds. First, prepare a shallow clay pot and put the disinfected soil into the pot. Put a layer of tiles at the bottom of the pot first to increase air permeability. Buy some high-quality seeds and then sow them on the soil in the pot without covering them. Finally, use the pot immersion method to replenish water, do not water it directly, then place it in a semi-shaded place and spray it with water appropriately every day. 2. Leaf propagationLeaf propagation is recommended in summer and autumn, but can be done all year round in a greenhouse. Prepare some mature leaves, and try not to use tender leaves, as such leaves will take longer to take root. Place the leaves flat on the substrate, make an incision on the main vein, and make 4 or 5 small cuts on one leaf. Use pebbles to press around the incision and ensure that the temperature is above 15 degrees. 3. Stem propagationThe best time to do this is in spring, from April to May. Cut the stems that are growing better. The length should be controlled at 10-15cm, with 2-3 small buds on them. Prepare a substrate with better air permeability in advance, insert the stem into the substrate to half its depth, maintain the temperature of the rooting environment at around 20-22 degrees, and wait for new roots to grow. |
