How to grow honeysuckle quickly

How to grow honeysuckle quickly

1. Soil and fertilizer

You must choose soil that is rich in nutrients. If conditions permit, you can add some basal fertilizer. Not only the base fertilizer, but also the subsequent fertilization should be paid attention to, mainly during the growth period. There are many types, both farmyard manure and chemical fertilizers are acceptable. However, the concentration and amount should not be too high, and you can do it more often.

2. Proper pruning

Proper pruning is very important. Scientific pruning requires many steps. The pruning methods are different at different times and when the plants are at different heights. Scientific pruning can improve ventilation and light transmission, and also accelerate the growth of plants.

(1) One or two years after planting, special attention should be paid to the cultivation of the main trunk.

(2) When the height is 30 to 40 centimeters, cut off the top to promote the germination of side buds.

(3) In the spring of the second year, after the plant sprouts, select four to five strong branches on the trunk as main branches. Keep five to six pairs of buds from the first-level branches and cut off the upper terminal buds. After that, keep six to seven pairs of buds from the secondary branches and remove the tender shoots.

3. Temperature and humidity

There are requirements for temperature and humidity. Generally speaking, it is enough to ensure warmth and humidity. Watering and spraying can be combined.

4. Good lighting

Pay attention to the location where the plant is placed and place it in a place with good light.

5. Remove weeds

If there are too many weeds, they will consume nutrients and the plants will grow slowly. So once discovered, it must be removed promptly.
