How to keep potted green radish warm in winter

How to keep potted green radish warm in winter

1. Foam insulation

Potted green radish is more afraid of freezing. We can collect the foam boards at home, use a knife to cut the foam into suitable small pieces, and place them at the bottom of the pot. By keeping warm in this way, the roots of the plants will not be frozen even if the temperature drops. Moreover, it can make the potting soil more breathable and less prone to root rot, which can be said to be a double benefit.

Specific operation method: Place the cut foam under the flowerpot, and then add soil in it. This will not only reduce the amount of soil used, but also achieve the effect of heat preservation and breathability.

2. Charcoal Powder Insulation

Charcoal contains a lot of carbon elements. You can add some charcoal powder to the soil. It has a very good thermal insulation effect and can be said to be a good way to keep out the cold in winter. Even when the temperature is below 0 degrees, it can prevent the plants from being frostbitten. It is also more suitable for growing flowers and can increase the air permeability of the planting soil.

3. Increase light and heat preservation

After being exposed to sunlight for a long enough time, it can also have a good thermal insulation effect, and the temperature will increase to a certain extent. Therefore, in winter, the plants should be exposed to as much sunlight as possible, which can also be very effective in keeping out the cold and keeping warm.
