What is the best month to plant gourds? When is the best time to plant them (grows fast)

What month is suitable for planting gourds?

It is better to start sowing gourds in April, when the temperature is basically stable. The seeds can germinate better and grow better in the later stage, and it will be easier to manage. You can sow at any time from April to October.

Gourd planting method

1. Seed processing

Select healthy gourd seeds, soak them in water, take them out after soaking for germination, wrap them in gauze and put them in a container, use a spray bottle to sprinkle water in an appropriate amount every day, and place them in a ventilated and warm environment for germination.

2. Promote root development

Put nutrient soil and farmyard manure together and mix them evenly. You can also add some organic fertilizer appropriately to increase the nutrient content in the soil. Water the soil thoroughly before sowing. After the surface is dry, plant the roots of the seeds in the soil, cover it with a layer of fine soil, and then wait for the seeds to germinate.

Points to note when planting gourds

When purchasing gourd seeds, you must choose a more reliable and regular manufacturer. The same variety can have a very different germination rate from different sources. For example, some old farmers will put the seeds bought from small manufacturers in cotton cloth, wrap them in a plastic bag, and cover them in an unventilated place. They can germinate in about a week. However, the seeds bought from regular manufacturers can germinate in 48 hours using the same method.
