Cultivation methods and precautions of sausage tree

Cultivation methods and precautions of sausage tree

1. Soil

When breeding, use sandy soil as the soil, which has good drainage and is not prone to water accumulation, which is beneficial to the growth of the plant. If the soil is too sticky, once water accumulates, the roots will easily rot, affecting growth and may even cause the death of the plant.

2. Light temperature

It has poor cold resistance, so you must pay attention to keeping warm in winter and do not provide a growing environment below 3 degrees, as low temperatures will freeze the plants. Normally the temperature should be between 23 and 32 degrees, and it can grow normally. In addition, it is necessary to keep it in a place with good light and provide sufficient light exposure time during the growth period. Only with sufficient light can the flower color be more colorful and last longer.

3. Fertilization

During the maintenance period, fertilizer should be applied according to the growth stage. Usually, fertilizer should be applied once a week after planting. The seedlings can grow better with sufficient nutrients. After the value is set, do not apply fertilizer anymore. At this time, the nutrients in the soil can meet the growth needs.

4. Watering

During the maintenance period, watering is not required too frequently. It is best to water when the soil is dry and water it thoroughly at one time. Water accumulation is not allowed, as it will affect root breathing and cause root rot. In addition, during the rainy season, be sure to drain excess water in time.

5. Notes

During the maintenance period, weeds will grow around the plants and consume nutrients in the soil. If it is not removed in time, it will lead to insufficient nutrients for the plant and affect its growth. Therefore, it must be removed manually in time, preferably in combination with loosening the soil.
