How long does it take for rice to sprout?

Rice is cultivated in all parts of my country. Generally speaking, about one week after sowing is the critical period for rice seedlings to emerge. To ensure that rice can germinate smoothly and grow healthily, farmers need to strengthen field management and pay close attention to changes in climatic conditions. So how long does it take for rice to sprout ? Let’s take a look with the editor below.

1. How long does it take for rice to sprout?

1. Early rice: Early rice is generally sown from the end of March to the beginning of April. It is more appropriate to start sowing when the temperature stabilizes at around 13 degrees. After sowing, if the climatic conditions are suitable, seedlings can usually be observed to emerge within a week or so.

2. Medium-season rice: The sowing time of medium-season rice is relatively flexible, and is generally sown from early April to the end of May. Similarly, about a week after sowing, if the climate is suitable, rice seedlings will gradually emerge from the soil.

3. Late rice: Late rice is usually sown in mid-to-late June. The emergence time of late rice also depends on the climatic conditions after sowing, and usually it starts to emerge about a week after sowing.

2. Rice Planting Methods

1. Sowing time: Rice is divided into early rice, middle rice and late rice. The sowing time varies according to variety and region. Early rice is usually sown from late March to early April or before Qingming Festival, mid-season rice is sown from early April to late May, and late rice is sown in mid-to-late June.

2. Sowing method: machine sowing or manual sowing. When sowing, you must calculate the amount of seeds to be sown in each frame and strictly control the sowing amount so that the seeds are evenly distributed in each space. Generally speaking, a sowing depth of 1-2 cm is more appropriate, which is conducive to improving the seedling rate and ensuring the basic number of seedlings.

3. Press down and spray: Press down gently after sowing to make the seeds in close contact with the soil. Then spray 1000 times diluted dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, 6 grams per square meter, and add 6 kilograms of water to prevent and control diseases. After sowing, cover with a 0.5 cm thick layer of bed soil to retain moisture and heat and promote seed germination.

4. Watering: After sowing, water the rice thoroughly to ensure that the rice germinates smoothly. After watering, the soil should seep out and no visible water should remain. If there is excessive water and visible water remains, drain the excess water.

5. Covering and insulation: Cover the moist seedling raising with plastic film for insulation, and raise the seedlings early in the cold spring. Film seedling cultivation can increase the temperature inside the film and promote seed germination and seedling growth. There are two main types of film covering: flat-laying and arch-frame.

6. Field management: During the growth of rice, attention should be paid to field management work such as tillage, weeding, disease and pest control , etc. Strengthen field inspections and carry out targeted prevention and control according to the types of pests and diseases in the early stages of the disease.

The above is an introduction to how long it takes for rice to germinate. After the rice germinates, field management needs to be strengthened to ensure that the seedlings can grow healthily. This includes timely irrigation, fertilization, weeding and pest control measures. At the same time, it is also necessary to pay attention to the growth of seedlings and adjust management measures in time to ensure that the rice can smoothly enter the next growth stage.
