How to grow primroses in spring

How to grow primroses in spring

1. Increase nutrients

Primrose consumes fertilizer quickly during its growth. The nutrients in the soil alone are difficult to meet its needs, and additional fertilizer is needed to supplement the nutrients. Fertilizer can be mild and nutritious farmyard manure. If the whole plant shows abnormal phenomena, you can apply fertilizer according to the specific condition of the primrose: if the branches and leaves are small, nitrogen fertilizer is needed; if the whole plant grows slowly, potassium fertilizer is needed, and if seeds are needed, phosphorus fertilizer is needed. The frequency of use is twice a month.

2. Reasonable lighting

Primroses require a particularly large amount of light during their growth process, especially in spring, so the amount of light needs to be increased. However, it is not resistant to strong light, so it needs to be avoided during maintenance and only be exposed to diffuse light, and the daily exposure time must not be less than six hours.

3. Pest and disease control

Spring is the growing season for plants and also the growing season for pests, so it is necessary to do a good job of pest prevention. If you find that its roots are infected with pests, you need to dig out its roots, clean the pests, and then replant it. If there are pests on the branches and leaves, you can use professional pesticides to spray it.

4. Increase watering

In spring, it needs more water than at other times, so increase watering. The amount of water should be based on completely soaking the soil, and the interval between watering should be about three days.
