How to Grow Anthurium

How to Grow Anthurium

1. Watering in time

Anthurium is very afraid of drought, so it is necessary to water it in time according to the dryness and wetness of the planting soil. It is best to maintain a slightly moist but no waterlogging state. Under normal circumstances, you can water it once every 1-2 days. In the hot summer, you can spray water appropriately. In the autumn and winter, you need to extend the watering time, and watering it once a week is enough.

2. Control Lighting

The plant cannot grow without sunlight, but it cannot grow in too strong sunlight either. Just give it appropriate diffuse light. In summer, some sunlight should be blocked, but in winter, it can receive full-day sunlight. During the period of light exposure, the flower pot should be turned frequently so that the plant can see the sun from all directions.

3. Reasonable fertilization

During its growth period, the plant needs to be fertilized, usually after new leaves sprout, and then fertilized every ten days or so. The temperature will be relatively low in late autumn and winter, so fertilization should be stopped at this time. Try to fertilize it in the morning or evening, and it is best not to do it at noon, and fertilizing can be done at the same time as watering.

4. Pay attention to ventilation

Anthurium has fleshy roots, so water it less during maintenance and open windows more often to ensure that the breeding environment is ventilated. When the temperature is suitable, you can place it on the balcony outdoors. If you keep it indoors, place it on a windy windowsill.
