How to grow goldenrod

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: It is almost not picky about the soil during the breeding period, but if you want better growth, it is best to use loose and fertile soil. In addition, it is best to lay a layer of broken tiles at the bottom of the pot before potting to provide drainage.

2. Watering: The soil should be kept moist at ordinary times. The soil in the pot should not be too dry or have water accumulation. Especially during the flowering period, water should be added in time when it is dry. In the hot season, more water should be sprinkled to increase the humidity and avoid water shortage.

3. Temperature: It likes warmth and is not cold-resistant, so you should pay attention to controlling the temperature above 8 degrees in winter, otherwise it will cause frost damage and affect its growth. However, you should also pay attention to ventilation in summer when the temperature is high.

4. Light: It likes light, and the color of the flowers will be more colorful with sufficient light. But the light is strong in summer, so be careful to block it. In winter, keep it in the sun as much as possible and provide enough light time.

2. Pests and diseases

During the maintenance period, it is easy to be infected with powdery mildew, brown spot disease and damping-off disease, which will seriously affect the growth when the disease occurs. Therefore, when it is discovered, it is necessary to spray the corresponding drugs for prevention and control, and it should not be allowed to deteriorate.

3. Breeding Methods

Its reproduction is mainly carried out by sowing. The seeds mature between September and October and can be planted immediately after harvesting or in the spring of the following year. When sowing, use the row sowing method and spread the seeds evenly. The germination rate is about 60%.
