Snake fruit sowing and propagation method

Snake fruit sowing and propagation method

1. Seed germination

When planting seeds, pick fresh fruits that are well-ripened, remove the pulp, and then clean the seeds. Prepare a container of suitable size, put an appropriate amount of sand in it, water it to make it moist, then place the washed seeds on it, cover it with two or three centimeters of thin sand, maintain a certain humidity and temperature, and transplant them after germination.

2. Transplanting and planting

When the germinated seeds have two or three leaves, they can be moved into the soil. Before planting, you need to plow and prepare the land. After preparation, dig holes of appropriate size and place the seedlings in them. Then straighten the soil and cover it, trying to spread the roots flat in the hole. After planting, tamp it down and water it thoroughly.

3. Post-maintenance

Salak itself has a certain degree of resistance to high temperatures and drought. If the planting site is suitable, you don’t have to worry about temperature and water issues when caring for it. If it cannot meet the growth needs, additional fertilizer should be applied twice a year. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can be used.

IV. Precautions

When sowing, pay attention to the matching of male and female plants. One male plant should be planted between every 20 female plants so that pollination and fruiting can be achieved normally. If there are only female plants, the yield will be seriously affected. In addition, if yellow leaves are found during management, they should be cut off in time to avoid nutrient consumption.
