How to water the dragon blood tree

How to water the dragon blood tree

1. Watering method

It is a tropical plant and has a certain degree of drought resistance. It does not need to be watered too frequently during maintenance, otherwise it will easily cause root rot. After watering thoroughly once, it is usually sufficient to water again after ten days. Of course, watering is not fixed. Before watering, you can observe the dryness of the soil in the pot. If it is dry, add a small amount of water. If it is moist, stop watering. In addition, pay attention to the winter, when it stops growing and requires almost no water. Keeping it dry is more conducive to wintering.

2. Choose water quality

In addition to the watering method during management, you should also pay attention to the choice of water. It is best not to water with tap water. Because it contains a lot of chlorine, it will affect the growth and cause the leaves of the plant to turn yellow and fall off. You can water it with rice water or well water to promote growth. If you only have tap water, let it air in the sun for two days before watering to allow the chlorine to evaporate before using it.

3. Maintenance methods

It likes light, so it is best to place it on the balcony to allow it to receive light, but in the summer it must be shaded and not exposed to strong light. Normally, the growth temperature should be between 20 and 28 degrees. It is not cold-resistant and the temperature should be controlled in winter, keeping it above 15 degrees. In addition, it is necessary to apply fertilizer and supplement nutrients at appropriate times, especially during the growing season, so that the plant can grow more vigorously.
