How to grow Chlorophytum comosum in autumn

How to grow Chlorophytum comosum in autumn

1. Regulate the amount of watering

The amount of watering is not constant throughout the fall. When autumn just begins, the Chlorophytum comosum grows relatively fast, so the amount of watering can be appropriately more, and if necessary, it needs to be supplemented by spraying water. However, as the temperature gradually drops, the growth rate of the Chlorophytum comosum will slowly slow down, and the amount of watering will also decrease accordingly.

2. Suitable temperature

The most suitable temperature for Chlorophytum comosum is actually 15 to 25 degrees. In late autumn when the temperature is very low and not suitable for it, it is best to move it indoors to avoid freezing.

3. Adequate lighting

There also needs to be good light in the autumn. The plant itself likes light, and the light in autumn is not too strong. You can choose a sunny location for it.

4. Apply fertilizer appropriately

Fertilizing, like watering, is not constant in the fall. The plants will continue to grow at the beginning of autumn and also have requirements for fertilizer. They can be fertilized once every half a month or so, and cake fertilizer water can be used. However, as the temperature gradually drops, the growth of the plants will stagnate, and at this time there will be basically no need for fertilizer.

5. Pruning

In late autumn, before winter arrives, pruning should be done to better help the plant survive the winter. The branches that need to be pruned include sick, weak, overlapping, old and leggy ones.
