1. Get seeds

The pennywort that is grown at home generally does not produce seeds, and the seeds are usually purchased at flower shops. After buying it, do not break the green shell on the surface at will. This layer of shell is conducive to germination, otherwise it will be difficult to survive.

2. Planting steps

Place the seeds in a container of water, and make sure the water completely covers the seeds. You can also add a thin layer of soil, then wrap them with plastic wrap to keep them warm and moist, and then place them in a dark place. White thin roots will grow in about three or four days. At this time, you should remove the plastic wrap at night to allow the seeds to breathe.

3. Planting in pots

When the white thin roots grow to about five millimeters, you should increase the light appropriately, otherwise the leaves will not grow easily. When the seeds are about to husk, they can be moved into pots for planting. When potting, you need to prepare some gravel to fix the fine roots. After placing and fixing them one by one, use a cup to pour water along the wall of the pot. The water must be able to contact the roots. If you take good care of it in the later stage, it will sprout in about two weeks and leaves will grow soon.
