Cultivation method of red leaf plum flower

Cultivation method of red leaf plum flower

1. Soil

Red leaf plum blossom has a strong adaptability to soil, but grows best in fertile, deep, well-drained clay neutral and acidic soils and is not alkali-tolerant. You can choose gravel soil or clay soil. Avoid continuous cropping, otherwise it will lead to degeneration of the variety, dull color of the flowers and slow growth.

2. Temperature

It is a thermophilic plant, and 15 to 25 degrees Celsius is most suitable for its growth. When the temperature is extremely low in winter, you can wrap a layer of cold-proof layer around the stems.

3. Lighting

It likes sunshine and should be kept in sufficient light all year round. Avoid planting it in shady places or under big trees, otherwise it may cause developmental delays or even withering and yellowing.

4. Fertilization

It has the characteristic of liking fertilizer, and some farmyard manure should be applied around it before winter every year. However, do not apply too much fertilizer, otherwise it may cause the leaves and flowers to become dull in color, and its ornamental value will be greatly reduced.

5. Watering

A slightly moist environment is good for its health, and it needs sufficient watering during the growing period. There is no need to water the plants during the rainy season because of the heavy rainfall. At the same time, drainage should be done well to prevent root rot and death.

6. Notes

1. The surrounding weeds should be removed in time to prevent their nutrients from being robbed.

2. Pay attention to pests such as bagworms and red spiders. A small amount of pesticide should be sprayed for prevention and control during the period of high pest incidence every year.
