How often should you water your green ivy and spray water on its leaves?

How often should you water your green ivy and spray water on its leaves?

1. How often should you water?

When growing plants, there is no fixed number for how often to water them. The frequency of the intervals varies depending on the season and temperature, and cannot be uniformly stated.

In spring and autumn, the temperature difference between the two seasons is not much, so you can water them every 4 to 5 days. The temperature in summer is relatively high, so the evaporation will become faster accordingly, so the intervals for watering should be shorter, maybe watering every two days. The leaves also need to be sprayed with water every day to maintain humidity. From late autumn to winter, the temperature will become very cold, so the cycle can be extended and watering once every 5 to 6 days is enough. If there is heating at home, the cycle can be shortened.

2. Precautions

The water temperature you choose needs to be similar to the room temperature, especially in winter. Do not use frozen water for watering, as the water temperature is too low and the roots may be easily damaged.

3. Other maintenance

1. Light: You don’t need to worry too much about this. Four hours of diffuse light a day will be enough. In the summer, not only do you need to replenish water, but you also need to provide shade in time to avoid irritating light.

2. Fertilization: During maintenance, you also need to pay attention to the nutrients. Generally, when the plant is growing vigorously, apply nutrients once every half a month.
