French jasmine cultivation methods and precautions

French jasmine is relatively easy to grow. It can grow well in loose soil with strong air permeability. Too compacted soil is not suitable for the growth of French jasmine. It has strong cold and frost resistance. When caring for it, it is necessary to ensure sufficient light, suitable temperature, and appropriate amount of water.

How to grow French jasmine

1. Lighting

French jasmine is a light-loving plant. If there is insufficient light, the differentiation of flower buds will be poor and the number of flowers will decrease. It needs ventilation and cannot be kept in a closed environment. It needs appropriate shade and avoid direct sunlight in summer.

2. Temperature

French jasmine likes warmth and is cold-resistant. The suitable temperature for its growth is 18-28 degrees. If the temperature is below 0 degrees or above 35 degrees, it will affect its growth. If the temperature is below minus 3 degrees for a long time, French jasmine will shed its leaves and go dormant.

3. Moisture

French jasmine should be watered appropriately. When watering, you should follow the principle of watering when the soil is dry, not watering unless it is dry, and watering thoroughly when you do. In dry weather, you should spray water on the leaves to increase the humidity in the air.

4. Soil

French jasmine likes loose and breathable soil. You can choose soil made of leaf mold, river sand and perlite in a ratio of 3:2:1.

French jasmine maintenance precautions
