What should I do if the leaves of Ruyi Queen become soft and droopy?

What should I do if the leaves of Ruyi Queen become soft and droopy?

1. Watering in time

Reason: Queen Ruyi is afraid of drought. Long-term lack of water will cause it to develop poorly and make its leaves soft and drooping.

Solution: Its growth cannot be separated from sufficient water. April to September is the peak growing season, so more watering is needed at this time. But the soil in the pot should not be kept moist for a long time, otherwise it will easily breed bacteria. Also spray water around to maintain a high air humidity.

2. Root pruning and replanting

Reason: Excessive watering or fertilizing of the Queen Ruyi plant can easily lead to root rot, which in turn affects water absorption and causes the leaves to droop.

Solution: Remove the Ruyi Queen from the pot and check whether the roots are rotten. If it is rotten, cut it off. Soak it in carbendazim for disinfection, then replant it in a new pot with new soil. After replanting, you must take good care of it, and let it recover before exposing it to appropriate light.

3. Proper shade

Reason: Queen Ruyi prefers diffuse light. Too strong light will burn the leaves, causing them to lose water and droop.

Solution: Place the Ruyi Queen in a semi-shaded environment with about 2-3 hours of light exposure. In winter, due to the lower temperature, the light time can be appropriately extended to help its growth.

4. Increase the temperature

Reason: Queen Ruyi is not cold-resistant and will be frostbitten in an environment below 10℃, causing its leaves to droop.

Solution: Keep Queen Ruyi warm in winter. You can place it in a warm place indoors. If the room temperature does not meet the requirements, you need to cover the upper part of the plant with a plastic bag to keep it warm.
