What fertilizer is best for growing cauliflower?

What fertilizer is best for growing cauliflower?

In the early stage of heading, cauliflower can be fertilized once every 10 days. After three consecutive fertilizations, the cauliflower will grow and mature and can be harvested. At this time, you need to stop fertilizing. During the fertilization process, you can use fertilizers mainly composed of compound fertilizers such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, or you can use fully decomposed farmyard manure to allow the plants to grow better.

Fertilizer for cauliflower

1. Generally, 5000 kg of decomposed organic fertilizer and 30-50 kg of compound fertilizer are applied per mu of cauliflower. If the soil is deficient in calcium, magnesium, or iron, a small amount of medium and trace element fertilizer can be added, mixed with the soil, and raked to make ridges.

2. It is better to use three-element compound fertilizer as foliar fertilizer for cauliflower. Foliar fertilization can be used to treat the symptoms of fertilizer deficiency in cauliflower during its growth process. The effect is very obvious in soil with poor fertilizer retention ability.

How to fertilize cauliflower

1. The base fertilizer of cauliflower is very important and should be applied before planting. At the same time, a certain amount of inorganic fertilizer is also required, which is usually applied when the plant is taking shape. This can be done by digging trenches to apply base fertilizer.

2. After planting cauliflower in spring, apply urea according to the growth of the cauliflower and water it in time. When the cauliflower bulb is the size of an egg, apply triple compound fertilizer.
