What are the breeding methods and precautions of Dutch iron

Yucca is a plant of the genus Yucca in the Liliaceae family. It has a thick stem and firm green leaves, and looks masculine and upright. It has strong adaptability, vigorous vitality, simple cultivation and management, and can purify the air. It is an ideal material for indoor and outdoor greening decoration.

How to Breed Dutch Iron

1. Temperature

The Dutch iron has a medium growth rate and a wide adaptability to temperature. The suitable growth temperature is between 15-30℃. It is not resistant to low temperatures in winter, and the ambient temperature should be kept above 2℃ for best results.

2. Soil

Dutch iron is not picky about soil, but it is best planted in well-drained, loose, fertile, slightly acidic soil. It can be prepared by mixing humus-rich loam with river sand, or by mixing leaf mold with river sand.

3. Topdressing

Liquid fertilizer can be applied to Dutch iron all year round. In spring and summer, the growing season, you can apply an appropriate amount of decomposed organic fertilizer water with high nitrogen content. Follow the principle of frequent application of thin fertilizers, and apply cake fertilizer or other new long-acting flower fertilizers in winter.

4. Lighting

Dutch iron likes an environment with plenty of sunlight. Generally, except for the need for shade in midsummer, it can be provided with full sunlight in other seasons. If it is placed in a dark place, the new leaves will often turn yellow and the plant will grow too tall.

Dutch iron maintenance precautions

Dutch iron likes an environment with high air humidity. When the ambient temperature is around 20 degrees, the humidity can be around 50%. When the temperature is around 30 degrees, the humidity needs to be adjusted to around 70% so that it can grow vigorously.

Dutch iron is very prone to leaf spot disease in hot and stuffy, unventilated conditions. The leaves will turn yellow and black, and in severe cases, spread to most of the leaves. It needs to be sprayed with pesticides as soon as possible. The pesticide should be 800-1000 times of chlorothalonil.
