How to grow strawberries in pots

For strawberry potted plants, planting strawberries is very simple as long as there is enough light at home. And in the later stage, as long as you pay attention to regular watering and fertilizing, the potted strawberries can be grown well.

1. Choose potting soil: It is recommended not to use a large pot for potted strawberries, because it is difficult to control watering in a large pot. The soil can be garden soil with some coarse sand and organic fertilizer, or you can use leaf mold or peat soil, add some coconut soil, and then add perlite.

2. Select seedlings and plant them: You can directly buy some bare-root strawberry seedlings. After you get them home, soak the roots in rooting solution for 10 to 30 minutes. When planting, allow the roots to spread out. It is best to make a small raised mound in the potting soil to allow the roots to spread out. After covering the soil, cut off the old leaves, then water them thoroughly and slowly expose them to light.

1. Prepare flower pots: First of all, when planting strawberries, you need to prepare a suitable flower pot. Because strawberries like to grow in a loose and breathable environment, the flower pot must be breathable to enable them to grow.

2. Prepare the soil: Because strawberries like to grow in water-retaining, fertilizer-retaining, loose, breathable, fertile acidic soil, you can use five parts of garden soil, two parts of coconut bran, and three parts of vermiculite to evenly mix and prepare, then fill the soil into the flowerpot and disinfect and sterilize it.

3. Prepare the seedlings. Before potting, prepare the strawberry seedlings. Be careful not to use seeds, as their germination rate is relatively low. Clean the seedlings, trim the roots, and disinfect them with carbendazim solution. Then soak them in rooting water, take them out and dry them for planting.
