More people know that they are sown by seeds, but in fact, cuttings can also keep it alive.

Chrysanthemum cutting propagation

The main way to propagate chrysanthemum is by cuttings, so it can be propagated by cuttings because it is very easy to survive. Just cut off a branch, no matter whether it is old or tender, it will take root as long as it touches the soil.

Chrysanthemum cutting time

The best season for chrysanthemum cuttings is generally spring and autumn, because the temperature is low in winter, it stops growing at this time, and the upper branches and leaves are all frozen to death. Although the roots underneath remain active, it is not suitable for cuttings. It is best to do it during its peak growth season. The higher the temperature, the faster it grows, and the cuttings are easier to survive at this time.

Chrysanthemum cutting propagation method

For chrysanthemum cuttings, you need to cut a branch of about 25 cm in length from the stronger main plant of the chrysanthemum. Except for the terminal bud and the remaining leaves, all other leaves on the cut branch can be removed. River sand and wood ash can be added to the soil to help the breathing and growth of the chrysanthemum roots. Apply a proper amount of rooting powder on the lower part of the branch, and then insert the branch into the small hole in the soil and press it lightly. Chrysanthemum is a fertilizer-loving plant and should be watered, fertilized and cared for more often. It can be covered with film when necessary and it will usually take root soon.
