Pineapples have strong adaptability and are resistant to sunlight, heat, drought, and barrenness. They can almost all be grown and bear fruit in tropical areas. However, their growth and fruit-bearing abilities vary when planted in different regions. In areas with lower temperatures in winter, it is necessary to take measures to keep warm. Pineapple planting technology1. Pineapple is a southern fruit that likes acidic, well-permeable and breathable soil. It can be planted on acidic red soil or humus soil. If pineapples are planted in alkaline soil, the leaves will turn yellow instead of green, the growth rate will be very poor, and they will not bloom or bear fruit. 2. Pineapples are native to the tropics and prefer a warm growing environment. They can grow normally in temperatures between 15-40 degrees. In other words, pineapples can be planted as long as the ambient temperature can be controlled above 5 degrees. However, the best time is June and July because there is sufficient rainfall and the pineapple seedlings can take root quickly. 3. Pineapples are generally planted in double rows, which makes it easier to pick and transport. This planting method will not affect light and is also convenient for applying water and fertilizer. The biggest advantage is that it is easy for manual management. Pineapple Management Methods1. Lighting Most subtropical crops often require relatively strong light, but pineapples do not need strong light to grow. Once the light intensity is too high, the water in the pineapple body will be lost in large quantities through evaporation, causing a significant decrease in pineapple yield and quality. It is sufficient to provide an environment with sufficient light. 2. Moisture In the early stage of pineapple growth, the demand for water is not large, and the principle of small amounts should be adhered to. When the pineapple grows for 4-6 months, the water supply needs to be greatly increased. Once water shortage occurs, irrigation should be carried out in time to ensure sufficient water. 3. Fertilization Pineapples like fertilizer very much and need to be top-dressed many times during the planting process. In the spring, use 150 kg of compound fertilizer per acre and use it together with organic fertilizer. In the summer, top-dressing is needed once, and it is best to apply water-soluble fertilizer. After harvesting, use a large amount of organic fertilizer and a small amount of compound fertilizer as base fertilizer. 4. Pests and diseases Diseases of pineapples include heart rot, wilt, black rot, etc. Pay attention to weather changes when planting. It is best to plant on a sunny day. If diseased pineapples are found, they must be dug out and isolated in time to avoid infection. Pineapples easily attract scale insects. In the early stages of the disease, use avermectin spray for prevention and control. |
