Bamboo will bloom, because it is a flowering plant and will bear fruit, but bamboo will not bloom every year like ordinary flowering plants, because flowering will cause great harm to the bamboo itself, so its flowering period is relatively short, and the time interval between flowering is relatively long.

After bamboo blooms, it will bear fruit, and the fruit is called bamboo rice. When bamboo blooms, flower spikes will appear. This flower spike is a white floc, and inside it are particles the size of rice, so it is called bamboo rice.

Bamboo flowers are in the shape of drooping spikelets, growing on short and thin flower axes. Numerous spikelets make up the inflorescence. When you get closer, you will see that those that look a bit like vines mixed with some fine grains are bamboo flowers. The posture of bamboo flowers is not outstanding and they cannot bloom bright flowers.

It is a very rare phenomenon for bamboo to bloom, so its blooming has a bad meaning, indicating that something bad is about to happen. In addition, in the eyes of the ancients, once bamboo blooms, it will bring disaster, and agricultural disasters may occur in the future.

Bamboo flowers are not good, so if it wants to bloom, it needs a lot of nutrients, and these nutrients come from its roots, stems and leaves. After the roots, stems and leaves are exhausted, the whole bamboo plant will die due to excessive nutrient consumption and inability to replenish them in time.
