Cultivation methods and precautions of ball chrysanthemum

Ball chrysanthemum is very easy to grow. It is a relatively hardy flower that has a certain degree of heat and cold resistance. In winter, it can withstand temperatures as low as minus 5 degrees Celsius. During the maintenance process, it is necessary to maintain sufficient light.

How to grow chrysanthemum

1. Soil

Ball chrysanthemum is suitable for loose and humus-rich soil with good drainage. You can choose garden soil, leaf mold, and river sand, and mix them evenly in a ratio of 4:4:2 as the culture soil.

2. Moisture

When watering chrysanthemums, you can follow the principle of not watering unless the soil is dry, watering thoroughly when you do, preferring dryness to wetness, and avoiding water accumulation. It is not suitable for watering in rainy weather.

3. Fertilization

The demand for fertilizer of chrysanthemum is relatively high. During the growth period, it can be fertilized every 20-30 days, mainly with nitrogen fertilizer, supplemented by potassium fertilizer and other trace element fertilizers.

4. Temperature

Ball chrysanthemum is suitable for growing in a cool environment and has strong cold resistance. The most suitable temperature for ball chrysanthemum growth is 17-23 degrees. In winter, it needs to be placed in a warm place indoors for maintenance.

Matters Needing Attention in the Care of Balloon Chrysanthemum

When caring for ball chrysanthemums, you need to pay attention to the lighting time. Ball chrysanthemums have a high demand for light. When growing them indoors, you can place them in a sunny place on the balcony or window, and they must receive at least 8-12 hours of light a day.
