When is quinoa harvested?

The growing period of quinoa is about 90-220 days, but the specific time is still related to factors such as sowing time and local climate. Generally, the earlier the sowing, the longer the growing period will be, and the frost-free period of the planting site must be more than 100 days.

Quinoa is native to South America, and its main producing areas are Tibet, Shanxi, Yunnan, Gansu, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia and other provinces. The plant has relatively good drought resistance, cold resistance and salt resistance.

Under normal management, the yield of quinoa per mu is generally around 200-800 kilograms, which is not very high because it is a plateau crop with extremely demanding climatic conditions.
