How much compound fertilizer is used per acre of wheat planting?

Wheat is the main crop, the staple food in northern China and processed bread and other foods, and other crops are irreplaceable. However, farmers really don't know how much compound fertilizer to apply per acre of land. Here is some popular science.

As we all know, wheat is a high-yield crop and requires a lot of fertilizer. The absorption ratio of wheat to nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers is generally around 2.3:1:2.5 . Excessive nitrogen fertilizer application has become a major problem and the main reason for the low yield.

Only by applying fertilizer scientifically can we reduce fertilizer waste, produce more high-quality wheat and improve economic benefits.

Generally, 50 kg of wheat fertilizer is applied per mu of land. The nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ratios and total effective ingredients of wheat fertilizers in different regions are inconsistent, so it is difficult to explain them with one data, but nitrogen fertilizer and potassium fertilizer must be added.

Wheat is a high-nitrogen and high-potassium crop. The 15:1515 compound fertilizer is not suitable for wheat planting . Generally, high-nitrogen and high-potassium compound fertilizer is selected as the base fertilizer, and then nitrogen fertilizer, phosphorus fertilizer or potassium fertilizer is appropriately added according to the basic yield.

The soil fertility of different plots varies greatly. Under the premise of planting wheat in one go, the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium should be considered.

Determine the amount of compound fertilizer required for one of the mineral nutrients, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and then add the amount of the other two mineral nutrients according to the fertilizer requirement ratio.

In some areas with irrigation conditions, topdressing is mainly carried out, and topdressing is carried out in stages starting from the stage when wheat has three leaves and one heart. So, based on the growth of wheat itself, how should the fertilizer be selected for topdressing?

1. Check the growth of wheat.

If the wheat is growing normally and there are no yellow, purple or red seedlings, then urea can be applied as topdressing, about 30-40 pounds per mu.

On the contrary, if the wheat grows short and has purple seedlings, red seedlings and other symptoms, it is necessary to apply compound fertilizer, about 40-50 kilograms per mu of land. At the same time, spraying some full-effect supplements or wheat-specific foliar fertilizers will be more conducive to the recovery of normal growth of wheat.

2. Whether base fertilizer is applied to wheat.

Most farmers choose to use base fertilizer when sowing wheat, but a small number of farmers do not use base fertilizer.

In this case, for the land where base fertilizer is not applied, compound fertilizer should be used for topdressing, and the amount used should be 70-80 kilograms or even about 100 kilograms per mu .

For the plots where base fertilizer is applied, combined with the first factor, under normal circumstances, urea can be applied as topdressing, about 30-40 kilograms per mu .

3. Judge based on soil fertility.

Some plots are fertile and wheat grows well, so urea can be used as topdressing, about 30-40 kg per mu . Some plots are affected by multiple factors.

For example, the long-term use of excessive fertilizers and pesticides has led to poor soil and even compaction. In order to promote the growth of wheat, it is necessary to choose compound fertilizer when applying topdressing.

In some areas, after the wheat seedlings have all grown, adding 50 grams of humic acid liquid compound fertilizer to a bucket of water and spraying it on the leaves can effectively promote root growth, improve the wheat seedlings' resistance to cold and drought, and have great potential for increasing production.

In the actual planting process, some farmers choose to apply fertilizer twice. The first time is to apply urea during the greening period, and the second time is to apply compound fertilizer during the heading period.

In this way, if everything goes well, two times is definitely better than one time. However, some farmers will calculate the cost, which is the cost of fertilizer, the cost of labor, and the cost of wheat yield and wheat price. Therefore, many farmers do not like to chase twice, thinking it is not worth it.

In general, it is impossible to use only compound fertilizers for wheat. It is also necessary to add organic fertilizers and other chemical fertilizers according to the situation to meet the needs of wheat growth.

And because of differences in soil texture, fertility level, wheat variety and management level, the amount used per acre varies.
