How to water the viburnum

How to water the viburnum

Water requirements of Viburnum

The growth rate of the magnolia is relatively fast, and its branches and leaves are lush. Its root system is very developed, so it likes to grow in fertile, moist, well-permeable and breathable soil. Although it likes moisture, it does not mean that water accumulation or long-term excessive humidity are tolerated.

Watering principles

If the upper layer of the soil is already dry, you can water it, and you must water it thoroughly at one time. Do not water half and leave the other half. Leaving too much time will cause the soil to clump, affecting the normal growth of the roots and the normal absorption of water and nutrients. If you can't judge how to water it thoroughly, you can observe the water holes below. If water flows out, it means it is watered thoroughly. Pour it slowly.

Precautions

Too frequent watering or water accumulation in the pot can cause its roots to rot.

Watering can be stopped in rainy weather to prevent the water from being unable to evaporate, causing the soil to remain in a wet environment for a long time.

In winter, the frequency of watering should be reduced appropriately.

It is best to water in the morning or evening.

When the seeds are first sown, be sure to keep the soil moist, which is conducive to its rooting and germination, and you can increase the frequency of watering.

PS. If you want to see the magnolia bloom earlier, you can directly use branches with flower buds for grafting. If it survives, it will bloom in the same year. But if you use seedlings for planting, it will take 7 to 8 years to bloom.
