Why is the green radish I raised not growing vines? (Why is the green radish I have grown for a year not growing branches?)

What to do if the green radish does not grow vines

It is a good thing that some people like to grow green ivy. After all, they can purify the air and eliminate harmful substances such as formaldehyde and ether.

When it comes to making the green radish grow more vines, some people say that it is necessary to provide enough sunlight, water, fertilizer, etc. In fact, these are all necessary conditions for plant growth, and are not the main reason why the green radish cannot grow vines.

In fact, it is not that the varieties of green ivy are different, but that you do not take good care of it. The buds do not grow taller, and the branches do not grow out, so it does not grow vines.

First, the fact that the green radish does not grow vines has a lot to do with nutrients:

(1) Planting material relationship:

The growth of green radish requires long-term nutrient supplementation. Planting materials are the key to the coordination of water, air, temperature and fertilizer in the growth of green radish. Therefore, it is critical whether the soil can retain fertilizer in the later stage of green radish maintenance.

If the green ivy does not grow vines, it is largely because the planting material itself lacks nutrients and the fertilizer is not retained.

suggestion

When planting green ivy, it is recommended to use mixed soil, which should be loose and breathable, without water accumulation, and have a long-term supply of nutrients.

It is recommended that you use one-third of garden soil, coconut bran and honeycomb coal powder, mix them, add one-tenth of sheep dung balls as the base, and add one-tenth of perlite to stir.

(2) Relationship with fertilization:

When caring for the green radish, we must pay attention to giving it enough light. Give it scattered light in summer, and place it in a sunny place in other seasons, which is conducive to its growth. If we want the plant to grow fast, nutrients are essential.

The use of flower soil can provide nutrients for the growth of green radish, but after a period of time, the growth of green radish will consume the nutrients in the soil. Lack of nutrients is the main reason why green radish does not grow vines. Only fertilization can solve this problem.

It is best to use organic fertilizer that is biased towards nitrogen when fertilizing green radish. For organic fertilizer that is biased towards nitrogen, you can reuse "rotted bean cake fertilizer".

When applying fertilizer on a daily basis, "thin fertilizers are applied frequently" and buried shallowly in the surface of the flower soil once a month. In the spring and autumn seasons when the growth is vigorous, you can add "fermented rice water" to irrigate the flower soil every once in a while.

Second, the relationship between the environment:

Pothos prefers a semi-shady environment. The best growth temperature is between 18 and 30 degrees Celsius, and the best air humidity should be above 55%. Otherwise, temperatures that are too low or too high will cause the pothos to stop growing.

Low temperatures in winter will cause hibernation, and above the limit will cause frostbite. High temperatures in summer will cause dormancy, and above 32 degrees Celsius strong light will cause sunburn. Stopping growth or being injured will cause the vines to stop growing.

suggestion

When caring for the green radish on a daily basis, place it in a location that receives 5 hours of light a day, avoiding strong sunlight at midday.

When the temperature is high and dry, move the pot to a location that gets 2 to 3 hours of sunlight every morning or evening. When the temperature is high, shade and spray to cool it down. When the temperature is low, bring it indoors. After bringing it indoors, try to provide enough light.

Third, the climbing ability of vines:

The green radish is a vine plant that naturally climbs. If there is no support for the green radish, or if the vine is not allowed to grow out of the flower pot, the branches will be tangled together, and the growth of branches will not be in order, which will eventually lead to the vine not growing. Do the following when maintaining it:

(1) First, select strong branches and allow the branches of the green radish to grow in a primary and secondary order. Then move the branches out of the pot to better receive light. Under photosynthesis, strong branches absorb more nutrients, which is conducive to the growth of vines.

(2) After selecting the strong and weak branches of the green ivy, insert a few bamboo sticks into the pot of the green ivy, and then wrap the strong branches around the bamboo sticks.

The climbing ability of the green radish will allow the strong branches to climb upwards, and combined with the plant's own apical growth advantage, the green radish will soon grow vines.
