How to raise Molan for beginners? How to raise Molan at home (attention and precautions for raising Molan at home)

First, fear that the planting material is not suitable:

When caring for Mo Lan, the soil should have a good aggregate structure, be loose and breathable, not compacted or waterlogged, and be slightly acidic and lightly fertilized. A single soil physical property cannot meet the growth of Mo Lan. Therefore, Mo Lan is most afraid of using incorrect planting materials.

When caring for Mo Lan, it is recommended to use a mixture of rotten pine bark, red jade soil, and rust sand, each of which is taken in thirds as the main granular planting material. Then put about 30% of pine needle soil in the granular planting material.

This kind of mixed soil is the one I prepared myself after growing orchids for many years. It is very suitable for the growth of black orchids.

Second, the most feared thing is that the environment is not suitable :

Molan likes semi-shaded environment and avoids direct sunlight. It likes warm and humid environment and avoids high temperature and dryness.

The best temperature for maintenance is between 15 and 28 degrees Celsius. Growth is stunted below 5 degrees Celsius, and it is easy to burn and die above 35 degrees Celsius. The air humidity requirement must be above 60%.

It is recommended to maintain bright diffuse light + 5 hours of weak light every day when the temperature is 15 to 28 degrees Celsius. When the temperature is high, it is necessary to properly shade and strengthen ventilation. When the temperature is low, it should be brought indoors for the winter. If the air humidity is not enough, spray the leaves every day.

Third, the most feared thing is that too much water will cause the roots to rot, while too little water will cause the roots to wither

Whether Mo Lan is drought-resistant depends on the humidity of the growing environment. In a location where the humidity is maintained above 65% for a long time, the planting material of Mo Lan can be relatively dry, and water it again after it is completely dry.

However, the humidity for home maintenance basically does not meet the requirements, so replenishing water is divided into two steps.

1. When watering Mo Lan, do not water unless the soil is dry, and water thoroughly when you do. If the surface of the planting material is dry, water it 1 to 2 days later. In summer and autumn, when the temperature is high and dry, you can water the surface of the planting material thoroughly in the evening of the same day.

2. When caring for Mo Orchid at home, the humidity often does not meet the requirements, which can easily cause water loss, root dryness, and dry leaf tips.

If "humidity is not enough, spray it", spray once every morning and evening for daily watering. In hot and dry seasons, spray 3 to 5 times a day to cool the environment and humidify the leaves.

Fourth, the most feared thing is that too much fertilizer will burn the roots, while too little fertilizer will make the plants thin and weak:

The roots of Mo Lan have a weak ability to absorb nutrients. Applying too much fertilizer can easily burn the roots and increase the probability of bacterial infection. If Mo Lan is not fertilized for a long time, it will grow pale and thin and may die.

When fertilizing Molan, follow the method of "thin fertilizer and frequent application". Do not fertilize at high temperatures or low temperatures.

You can use "fermented sheep dung balls" to fertilize Mo Lan on a daily basis. Loosen the soil and bury it shallowly in the topsoil. About once a month.

In the spring and autumn when the growth is vigorous, you can add 1:3 rice water to irrigate the roots once a month. One month before the flowering period, you can apply more "phosphorus and potassium fertilizers".
