How many kilograms of sweet potatoes can be produced per mu (approximately how many kilograms of sweet potatoes per mu)

Sweet potatoes are a kind of food crop introduced from abroad. They can be eaten fresh or dried. Usually, we eat some sweet potatoes properly, which is good for the body. However, if you have a bad stomach, it is recommended to eat less or not eat it.

In the past when agricultural technology was underdeveloped, although sweet potatoes provided food that humans could rely on, the yield per mu was not high. So what is the yield per mu of sweet potatoes now?

How many kilograms of sweet potato can be produced per acre

Nowadays, the sweet potato planting technology has been continuously improved, and the per-acre yield of sweet potatoes has been greatly improved. And sweet potatoes can be stored fresh, or dried and called dried sweet potatoes.

The yield of sweet potatoes per mu can generally reach about 2,000 kilograms , but the market now advocates virus-free sweet potato seedlings, which have a very high yield. According to the results of the expert test field, the yield per mu can be increased by at least 80% .

Generally, the yield of sweet potatoes with this condition is relatively low, while the yield of virus-free sweet potatoes is at least 2,700 kilograms per mu, and the highest yield can reach 4,600 kilograms per mu .

How to grow sweet potatoes for high yield

my country is a sweet potato planting base in Asia. Some sweet potato bases have a scale of hundreds of thousands of acres, and almost every household has a sweet potato cellar.

The largest sweet potatoes are directly driven in by trucks and equipped with central air conditioning, with a reserve of up to 10,000 tons. Therefore, my country's sweet potato cultivation technology is very mature at present. Here I will briefly introduce the high-yield cultivation technology of sweet potato seedlings.

① Seedling cultivation >

Ordinary sweet potato seedling cultivation is very simple, that is, people store sweet potatoes in sweet potato cellars. Generally, if you find relatively fresh and tender sweet potatoes that are not rotten, you can bury them in the ground and wait for them to germinate.

Generally, it is very good to cover the surface with plastic film or grow seedlings in a greenhouse . The effect is also very obvious and the seeds can germinate ahead of time.

②Base fertilizer and topdressing

For sweet potato base fertilizer, choose 3,500 kg of farmyard manure, 66 catties of ammonium sulfate, 80 catties of superphosphate, and 53 catties of potassium sulfate.

Start applying urea half a month after planting sweet potatoes, 10 kilograms per acre, at least 15 centimeters away from the roots.

The second time, when the soil cracked, 25 kg of calcium phosphate and 15 kg of potassium sulfate were applied per acre of land.

20 days before harvest, spray the sweet potato leaves with potassium dihydrogen phosphate again and spray them with growth hormone at the same time.

③ Planting spacing

In plots with good soil, sweet potatoes can be planted in double rows on large ridges. The ridge distance is 100 cm, the ridge height is 35 cm, the plant distance is controlled at about 30 cm, and 4,000 seedlings can be planted in one acre of land.

④Preventing excessive growth

In order to prevent excessive growth in the later stage, it is best to apply paclobutrazol to the sweet potatoes when closing the ridges, adding 30 grams of 15% paclobutrazol per acre of land.
