Site selection and park construction

When building a garden, you need to choose a place with good water quality, high terrain and good light . Then you need to remove harmful substances in the soil and ensure the fertility of the soil. You can apply decomposed organic fertilizer or a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer.

Timely planting

Winter jujube has strong adaptability and generally has no strict requirements for fertilizer and water. When planting, it is necessary to dwarf it and plant it at a certain distance. This can reasonably control the light and is very helpful to increase the yield of young trees.

Fertilizer and water management

One month after the winter jujube is planted, superphosphate and organic fertilizer are applied . Because the fertilizer requirements of winter jujube are different at each growth stage, pay attention to applying organic fertilizer in the ditch in autumn, and add farmyard manure and nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer in time.

Pay attention to watering every time you apply fertilizer. Drain water in time when water accumulates during the rainy season, and combine it with inter-row cultivation and weeding to improve soil permeability .

Flower and fruit management

When the winter jujube enters the peak flowering period, the jujube heads should be pinched off. Depending on the growth strength, 3 to 5 secondary branches should be left for pinching off .

Spray with water every 1 to 3 days from the early stage of jujube flowering to the full flowering stage, and spray gibberellin 1 to 2 times during the full flowering stage to improve the quality of flowers and increase the production of high-quality fruits.

During the flowering period, the main trunk is ring-barked. This can achieve the effect of fruiting and maintaining the tree at the same time, and the purpose of ring-barking is to provide nutrition and preserve the fruit.

Pest Control

The diseases and pests of winter jujube include jujube rust, jujube fruit shrinkage, jujube madness, etc. When planting jujube trees, you can spray the whole tree with 5-degree lime sulfur mixture once to prevent various diseases and pests.

For jujube rust, jujube fruit shrinkage and jujube madness, you can use 800 times diluted carbendazim or 1000 times diluted thiophanate-methyl wettable powder for spraying . If the disease is serious, directly cut off the diseased branches.
