The cutting method and precautions of Tiger Pilan

The cutting method of Tiger Piranha is very simple and has a high survival rate. Before cutting, the mother plant of Tiger Piranha needs to be maintained, and strong cuttings should be selected. The cuttings will take root after 30-60 days in a strong, fertile and well-drained substrate, and then transplanted and cultivated.

Tiger Pilan cutting method

1. Cutting time

For cuttings of Tiger Pilan, the temperature should be above 15℃, and the best time is April to May in spring . The branches are warmer, and Tiger Pilan is easy to root after cuttings.

2. Prepare the soil

Tiger Piranha has no great requirements for the soil for cuttings, as long as it is loose and breathable. You can prepare river sand and leaf humus, mix them evenly and use them as culture soil.

3. Select cuttings

Take one to two-year-old grass, select healthy and pest-free leaves, cut them with sterilized scissors, and cut off a part of them, apply rooting powder on the wound, and place them in a ventilated place to dry for 5-7 days. Prepare the cut flowers and the wounds that have been dried.

4. Cuttings

Use a suitable container, fill it with culture soil, and make the soil smooth. Insert the tiger lily leaf into the soil, make a small hole 1-2 cm deep, insert it into the hole, and cover it with a thin layer of soil.

If the temperature is controlled at around 20℃, it will take root in about 30 days, then be moved into a new pot and placed in a cool and ventilated place for 5-7 days, and then placed in a place with sufficient light for care and management.

Tiger Pilan cutting maintenance

After the cuttings are completed, the next step is to care for the leaves. You can water them thoroughly right after inserting them, and then place them in a cool place at home. Do not let the snake plant receive too strong sunlight.

In the first half month of cuttings, the cutting substrate needs to be kept moist, and watered after the substrate turns white. The cutting cycle of Sansevieria is relatively long, most of which require more than 1 month, so flower lovers need to be patient when cutting.
