What to do if the lucky tree has root rot

What to do if the lucky tree has root rot

1. Causes of root rot

① Too much water: Many novice flower growers believe that plants cannot lack water before they understand the plants. Therefore, water it frequently. If the drainage of the potting soil is poor and the air circulation is poor, its roots will easily rot.

② Excessive fertilization: When growing plants, if the plants seem listless or not growing well, many people think that they lack nutrients. Some friends also use too concentrated fertilizer and apply fertilizer close to the roots. Both of these situations will cause the roots of the plants to rot. One is that they do not understand why the plants are not growing well and apply fertilizers indiscriminately, resulting in fertilizer accumulation and fertilizer damage. The other is that the fertilizer is too concentrated and applied close to the roots, burning the roots and eventually causing them to rot.

③Poor ventilation: Especially in summer, the environment is already stuffy. If the ventilation is poor for a long time, it will cause the occurrence of diseases and pests, and then cause root rot.

2. Solution

First, dig the plant out of the soil, rinse the soil attached to the roots with running water, cut off the rotten roots, and then soak it in fungicide for 12 hours, then drain the water and place it in a cool place to dry for 1 to 2 days; during this period, the potting soil needs to be replaced, and it is best to choose soil with good ventilation and drainage for replanting. If the rot is severe, it is recommended to throw it away directly.
