Mango potted planting method

Mango potted planting method

Prepare

Before planting mangoes in pots, you need to prepare them first. Choose a ripe mango and set it aside. Ripeness is to ensure that the core is fully nutritious and mature. Then use a knife to cut off the flesh and leave only the seeds. Then use a knife to peel off the shell, take out the seed embryo inside, soak it in water and use it.

Planting

Choose a suitable flowerpot, put some culture soil in it and bury the seeds halfway into the soil with one end facing downwards. This will protect the embryo from being bitten by insects and will be more conducive to seed germination. After planting, it is best to place it in a moist, warm place with good light. Generally, under suitable conditions, it will start to germinate after 5 to 6 days.

Maintenance

Mango prefers a warm environment, and the suitable temperature for growth is between 25 and 30 degrees. It likes light and needs regular pruning to improve and increase light conditions. The suitable rainfall environment for mango growth is 700 to 2000 mm. Too dry air will cause fruit and flower drop; if there is too much water, it will affect pollination and fertilization and even cause flower rot. As for soil, it is best to use slightly acidic sandy loam with good drainage.

Notice

If you plant it indoors, you must control the amount of watering. Generally, if you use air conditioning in the summer, the temperature should be within the appropriate range and water should be added once a day. In winter, watering once every one to two weeks is generally sufficient. And good ventilation should be ensured to reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests.
