Impatiens likes a warm environment. As long as the temperature is above 15 degrees, you can plant Impatiens by cuttings. The best time is in spring when the temperature is suitable and the surrounding humidity is high, which is conducive to subsequent rooting.

1. Cut the cuttings

Cuttings from Impatiens, choose the ones with terminal buds, with 3-5 nodes, about 5-10 cm in length. Such branches grow very fast and have good growth. After cutting, trim the leaves and remove the lower leaves to prevent them from being buried in the soil and rotting.

2. Prepare cuttings

The container for planting Impatiens does not need to be too large, a smaller flower pot can be used, and the substrate for cuttings can be perlite, which does not need to be filled up, and the substrate should be kept clean and sanitary. Disinfect it in advance, and insert the cut cuttings into the potting soil. About 3 branches can be inserted in one container.

After the Impatiens cuttings are completed, you can water them to keep the soil moist, cover them with a film, and place them in a well-ventilated place for maintenance. If the temperature is controlled at 16℃-26℃, it will take 25-30 days for the roots to take root and survive .
