Wheat planting time and method

Wheat planting time and method

Wheat planting time

The best time to plant wheat is from February to March in spring or from September to October in autumn. Because wheat is divided into winter wheat and spring wheat, it is suitable to plant winter wheat in the southern region, and spring wheat in the northern region, which can effectively increase wheat yield.

Wheat Planting Methods

1. Seed treatment

When planting wheat, you need to choose varieties with strong disease resistance and high yield, then remove shriveled, broken, insect-bitten grains, etc. from the seeds, and then mix the full and healthy seeds with the agent carbendazim to reduce the chance of wheat getting sick. Finally, you can place the wheat seeds in the sun to dry.

2. Planting method

When planting wheat, you need to provide it with soil rich in various nutritional values, then plow the land 25 centimeters, remove the weeds and broken roots in the soil, make the soil softer, then you can sow the wheat seeds on the soil surface and water it once to make the wheat seeds germinate quickly.

3. Maintenance and management

When caring for wheat, it is necessary to apply decomposed organic fertilizer to it during the plant's growth cycle to provide the wheat with the nutrients needed for heading, and observe the wheat's branches and leaves regularly. If white powdery substances are found on the leaves of the plant, spray the plant with disinfectant 1-2 times every week to ensure the healthy growth of the wheat.

Notes on wheat planting

The most common disease during wheat planting is lodging, which usually occurs when wheat is about to mature after heading. Therefore, in daily management, it is necessary to remove moisture in time, use fertilizers correctly and control the amount, and control the planting density to avoid being too crowded.
