What vegetables are suitable for growing with wood ash?

Wood ash can be used when growing vegetables because it contains more nutrients and is a very effective inorganic farm fertilizer. It can also prevent soil compaction and is suitable for growing water spinach, radish, beans, edamame, etc.

1. Water spinach

Water spinach is suitable for sowing from April to July. If the ambient temperature is suitable, it will mature in about 45 days. Regular consumption of water spinach can reduce fat and weight, relieve heat and detoxify, and promote gastrointestinal motility.

2. Radish

2. Usage: Wood ash can be mixed with soil as base fertilizer for vegetables, or it can be sprinkled on the surface of the soil as topdressing. If you want to prevent insects, sprinkle a circle of wood ash around the vegetables, a thin layer will do.

3. Note: Wood ash is alkaline. If you are growing vegetables that prefer acidic soil, you cannot use wood ash. Usually, when growing sweet potatoes, green vegetables, and potatoes, it is best not to add wood ash.
