Catching Insects

The pitcher plant has a peculiar plant shape and its insect-catching pitchers are elegant and unique in shape. They are often used as hanging pots for viewing at home. The pitchers of Nepenthes secrete nectar to attract insects and provide them with nutrition. Because of its insect-catching function, you can place it in windows and corridors where mosquitoes can easily enter. But don't put too much hope on it. It is unlikely to eliminate mosquitoes entirely by it throughout the summer.

Feng Shui Effect

If you put a pig cage in water, a lot of water will fill up the cage. In Guangdong area, pig cage filling with water describes a person's prosperous financial fortune. They especially like to buy a pot during the Chinese New Year, which represents prosperity and good luck in the coming year.

In Europe and the United States, pitcher plants are also often grown indoors as ornamental plants in hanging pots and hung in corridors, indoor windows, or on small trees in the courtyard, symbolizing a carefree and beautiful life.
