How long does it take for peonies to bloom?

How long it takes for peony to bloom depends on the size of the peony seedlings and the management method. If it is a new seedling, it will bloom after 2-3 years when the root system grows lushly and accumulates enough nutrients.

Peony flowering process

During the flowering process of peony, you should first select some healthy seeds. Before sowing, you need to put the seeds in water at about 40℃ and soak them for about 24 hours.

After the seed coat is softened, take it out and dry it, then it can be used for sowing. Keep it warm afterwards, and it will sprout in about 15 days. At the same time, we must pay attention to the principle of "dry thoroughly" in water and fertilizer management, and do not let water accumulate in the peony pot. When its new shoots are quickly drawn out, it is necessary to combine watering and fertilizing to make the peony flower color more colorful. Give it sufficient light during its growth process. Insufficient light will affect flowering.

Peony flowering time

Peony blooms around May to June every year. This is the flowering period of peony. Its flowers generally grow at the top of the stem or in the leaf axils near the top. The petals are obovate. Ordinary peony flowers are white in color, with 5-13 petals, while horticultural varieties of peony flowers are very rich in color and have hundreds of petals.
