Can camellia be repotted in summer?

Camellia cannot be repotted in summer because the temperature is high, hot and stuffy and there is no ventilation. Improper repotting will cause the entire plant to wilt. In severe cases, the entire plant will die. It is recommended to repot in spring and autumn to make the camellia grow better.

How to repot camellia

Before repotting camellia, carefully knock the pot to separate the flower and the soil, then hold the plant and take it out of the pot. Shake off the soil around the roots and trim the roots to remove bad roots and roots that are not growing well. Then disinfect and sterilize the plant, otherwise it will easily become infected after potting.

Place the camellia in the middle of the pot and slowly fill it with soil, pressing lightly until there are no gaps. Be careful not to damage its roots and finally place it in a cool and ventilated place.

Notes on Camellia Repotting

1. When repotting camellia, prepare clean and loose flower soil as the new culture soil, put it into the pot, then put the roots of the camellia into the new pot, then compact the soil surface with your hands and water it thoroughly, which will help the roots to take root.

2. After repotting the camellia, move it to a sunny and warm environment to acclimate. During the acclimatization period, reduce the amount of watering and stop fertilizing. After 5-6 days, it will adapt to the new pot and can be maintained normally.
