What to do after the green onions bloom?

Onion Flowering Post-Processing

1. Pinch off the green onions after they bloom. This will prevent the roots from continuing to deliver nutrients to the flowers, causing the white part of the green onion to become hollow and hard, making it inedible. 2. Cover with soil. After the green onions bloom, press them to one side and then cover the stems with soil. The soil should not exceed the heart of the green onion and should be compacted.

3. When the soil covers the leaf stems of the green onion, in a dark and humid environment, the nutrients contained in the soil will flow into and be stored in the white part of the green onion, and then stop supplying nutrients to the flowers, and the flower buds will naturally wither.
