Can Amaryllis be transplanted in autumn?

Amaryllis can be transplanted in autumn. Because the growth temperature of Amaryllis is 20-25℃, it is more appropriate to transplant it around September, which can make Amaryllis grow better.

Because it is easy to manage, it can be cultivated indoors and outdoors. Its flowering period is in spring and summer. When it blooms, it has many colors, making it one of the more popular potted flowers.

Method of transplanting Amaryllis in autumn

1. Soil

When transplanting Amaryllis, choose to plant it in sandy loam rich in organic matter so that Amaryllis can take root well. Remember not to use soil with too high viscosity for cultivation.

2. Planting

First, take the Amaryllis plant out of the pot, separate the roots of the Amaryllis, separate the bulbs individually, and cut off the old roots of the bulbs. Leave the mature bulbs. You can keep 3-4 small bulb roots of Amaryllis, and cut off the rest of the bulbs. This way, the transplanted Amaryllis can grow better.

Precautions for transplanting Amaryllis

1. When transplanting Amaryllis, be sure to pay attention not to bury the soil too deep. Two-thirds of the bulbs need to be exposed. If the soil is too deep, the bulbs will develop slowly and grow weakly. In more serious cases, it will not bloom.

2. When transplanting Amaryllis, keep the soil in the pot moist. Remember not to water too much to prevent the cut end of the bulb from rotting. You can spray some medicine appropriately to prevent disease.
