Before division propagation, the new pots need to be disinfected and then filled with loose and breathable culture soil or a mixture of garden soil, sandy soil, and humus soil.

Stop watering two days before division. When dividing the maidenhair fern, dry soil is easier to fall off and the soil needs to be removed. However, try to keep the soil at the roots to avoid damaging the root system. Then cut the rhizome and divide it into several small plants. Transplant them into new pots and water them in time after planting.

2. Spore reproduction of the maidenhair fern

The maidenhair fern can also reproduce by spores, which is a relatively easy way to survive. You need to first fill the flowerpot with commercially available breathable culture soil, then spray some carbendazim solution for disinfection, and then use leaves containing healthy spores and sprinkle them on the surface of the soil, but you need to cover it with transparent glass.

When caring for the maidenhair fern, the temperature needs to be kept between 24-27 degrees, and then it needs to be placed in a warm and ventilated place for maintenance. There should also be sufficient light environment at normal times, so that the leaves can grow at a faster rate. Usually they can germinate after 25 days, and appropriate watering is required in the later stages of growth.
