How to plant cabbage seeds

Cabbage seed planting time

Cabbage is suitable for planting in August every year because it is relatively cold-resistant and suitable for growing in a cool environment. When growing cabbage, if it is sown in spring or summer, the plants will be prone to diseases and pests, which will reduce the yield of cabbage and worsen the quality.

Cabbage seed planting method

1. Choose a seed

Before planting cabbage, you need to choose varieties with higher yields and stronger resistance, then mix the seeds with prepared pesticides to disinfect and sterilize them to reduce the possibility of the cabbage being infected with diseases, then place the cabbage seeds in a ventilated and breathable semi-shaded environment to dry, and then sow them after they are dry.

2. Planting method

Cabbage is suitable for planting in loose, fertile, organic-rich soil. When planting cabbage, you can add some organic fertilizer to the soil to make the soil more fertile, then sow the cabbage seeds on the soil surface, and then cover it with 1-2 cm of soil to promote vigorous growth of cabbage.

Daily management precautions for cabbage

When caring for cabbage, you need to water it according to the soil moisture conditions, so that the water content in the soil is maintained between 60%-75% to maintain normal growth of the cabbage. During the growth period of the cabbage, you should spray it with potassium dihydrogen phosphate or superphosphate to make the leaves of the cabbage more crisp and tender, thereby increasing its yield.
